The Disneyland Alumni Club held a Meet-Up at the Disneyland Hotel, right out by the fireplace across from Trader Sam's.
Members and non-members got the chance to meet officers of the club, hang out and enjoy a cool tropical drink, and just trade some Disneyland stories as only former Cast Members can tell them.
Richard Ferrin, President of the Club, spent some time talking to visitors about the upcoming Gala Dinner celebrating Disneyland's 60th Anniversary on August 1st. The event, which will help raise funds for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fullerton, is shaping up into an exciting event. Longtime Coke Corner pianist Rod Miller will be there. Also talking funny will be that "Goofy" guy Bill Farmer - okay, he's the voice of Goofy. But he's also a really funny guy, as people will find out that night.
Richard has also been out there doing some podcasts. One podcast was the Tiara Talk Show, you can hear the podcast at this link.
Other groups are finding out how much fun and knowledgable Richard is and have invited him onto their podcasts. Just today, "The Sweep Spot" posted a podcast they recorded with Richard. You can find that podcast by clicking here.
Are you a member of the club? We would love to have you join up with us. Besides the Gala Anniversary Celebration, which will be held at the Disneyland Hotel, we are planning some other exciting events - including exclusive screenings of upcoming Disney films such as "Tomorrowland" and one about a Galaxy a long time ago.
Learn more about the Gala Anniversary Celebration at this link. Tickets are $140 per person for the charity fundraiser - where you hosts will actually be wearing formal wear, certainly a sight to be seen.
