The Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel was the location on Sunday, June 14th, for the latest meet up of the Disneyland Alumni Club.
The hotel is the “Main Street” sponsor for the club’s upcoming Gala Celebration of Disneyland’s 60th Anniversary August 1st. The meet-up was a chance for members of the club and its officers to be taken on a tour of the hotel and its gardens.
It was also a chance to check out the hotel bar, restaurant and lounge, along with one of its newly refurbished rooms.
The tour was led by Cindy Smith, a former cast member who is now the director of sales at the hotel.
Along with the sponsorship, the hotel is offering rooms the weekend of the Gala Celebration at a special rate for club members - click here for more information. You can make reservations at these special rates as late as July 3, 2015. For more information, or a phone number to call click here.
The Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel is located on Ball Road, just north of Disneyland - in fact it is across from the Ball Road entrance to the Team Disney Parking Structure.
The Gala Celebration still has tickets available - click here for more information about the celebration. Some of the featured performers include Bill Farmer, the voice of Goofy; Jim Adams, who played at the Golden Horseshoe after Wally Boag retired; and Tony Baxter, the long time Disney Imagineer who was the official designer of Disneyland - Baxter oversaw projects like Splash Mountain and the Indiana Jones ride.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Fullerton, the Disneyland Alumni Club’s designated charity. The Disneyland Alumni Club is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization and is managed by an all volunteer board of officers, all of whom are former or current Disney Cast Members.
